Preschool Registration Information

Children must be 4 years old on or before August 31, 2024 to be considered for NC Pre-K funding. 

Parents can apply for preschool at any elementary school in Yadkin County using a single application.

  • There is no charge to families (who meet the income requirements) for the educational program.

  • Application distribution points: Elementary school sites and online

  • Preschool location preference is included in the application.

Preschool site locations are: Boonville, Courtney, East Bend, Fall Creek, Forbush, Jonesville, West Yadkin and Yadkinville Elementary Schools

2024-2025 Application

Once you have completed the application you must also: 

1) The following documents will need to be included with your application:

  • Child’s Birth Certificate

  • Income documentation for parents living in the household who are working: last 4 consecutive check stubs, or other income documentation (W-2’s are acceptable). Also, proof of Social Security benefits (SSA), and/or proof of child support, if applicable. You only need to submit income documentation if you are applying for assistance. Parents do not have to be employed to be eligible.

2) Complete the Site Preference Portion

Site preference is part of the application. Your selection does not guarantee placement at any site, but it allows you to indicate your first, second and third locations that you are interested in and are able to provide transportation for your child.

3) Turn in application

Submit completed application along with the required documentation digitally, via email, or in person at any Yadkin County Elementary School.
